Cornwall Insight is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Morris the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Monica Collings as a Non-Executive Director on the Board.
Dan joins Cornwall Insight from Economist Impact, a division of The Economist Group, where he held several leadership positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President. He will succeed Gareth Miller, who recently stepped down as CEO after ten years at the company.
An experienced leader in the business information sector, Dan led teams across multiple parts of The Economist Group, driving strategic growth initiatives including acquiring, integrating and growing several specialist business intelligence and consulting platforms.
Dan’s experience in leading and executing customer centric strategies will further drive the value that Cornwall Insight provides our clients through detailed data and analysis of the energy industry. Dan hopes to hit the ground running, leveraging the collective expertise and skills of Cornwall Insight’s research and consulting teams, to drive meaningful value to our customers and support all parts of the industry in the journey to net zero.
Cornwall Insight is also proud to have Monica Collings join the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Monica, an award-winning former Chief Executive in the energy retail sector, brings a wealth of diverse experience that will greatly benefit the company.
After leading Vattenfall’s UK energy retailer, Monica navigated the energy crisis at the helm of So Energy, where she played a pivotal role in the merger with ESB Energy. Before these energy-focused roles, Monica’s commercial experience spanned property, automotive and retail home improvement – sectors integral to achieving net zero.
She now successfully operates plurally across a portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles in the energy industry. Having served as the only female Chief Executive of a domestic supplier, Monica has been at the forefront of promoting greater boardroom diversity, serving as a UN Women UK delegate.
Monica hopes to use her broad leadership experience, and focussed consumer and growth specialist experience, to support the company’s growth ambition. Having been a client of Cornwall Insight, she is committed to bringing the customer voice into the boardroom.
