Cornwall Insight Non-Executive Director honoured in INvolve’s Heroes Role Model list

We’re delighted to announce that our non-Executive Director Monica Collings has been recognised in the 2024 INvolve’s Heroes Executives Role Model List. The Role Model Lists supported by YouTube, champions Women Executives, Women Future Leaders and Advocates for women in business. Celebrating those who deliver impactful and innovative work to support and progress talented women in business across the globe.

Monica’s inclusion in the Heroes list of just 100 leaders is a testament to her unwavering commitment to championing and empowering women both within the energy industry and beyond. Serving as a UN Women UK delegate this year, Monica has been a steadfast champion of gender equality, working tirelessly to improve education, challenge foundational beliefs, advocate for equality of pay, promote equal participation and deliver a more inclusive and equitable work environment for everyone.

Monica Collings, Non-Executive Director at Cornwall Insight, said:

“In my professional life I regularly talk about three things leadership, net zero and gender equality. I firmly believe that these areas are interconnected, and their success relies on viewing each one as essential for the success of the others. We know that putting more women in senior roles brings fresh new ideas, diverse perspectives and boosts business performance – vital components, for advancing the net zero agenda and delivering a more sustainable and inclusive world.

“I am incredibly proud to work across organisations that recognise the value that greater equality brings to business. To have been named among 2024 INvolve’s Heroes, alongside many inspiring people who are driving inclusivity in business, is an honour. While there is still a long way to go, each day brings more progress for women’s equality and I am committed to supporting the delivery of a more inclusive business landscape, which benefits all.”

Dan Morris, CEO at Cornwall Insight said: “We are thrilled to see Monica recognised as an INvolve’s Heroes Executives Role Model. As a company we are very proud of our work to advocate for women in the energy sector. Monica, with her extensive experience of championing women’s equality in business, is a vital part of our current success and will be essential as we pursue further progress for women both within our company and across the broader energy industry. Congratulations to Monica for this well-deserved honour.”
Suki Sandhu, OBE Founder and CEO at Involve said:

“I’m so thrilled to be celebrating this fantastic global cohort of trailblazing Executives, Future Leaders and Advocates driving change for women in business. All the individuals within our 2024 Heroes Role Model Lists supported by YouTube are championing inclusion and leveraging their expertise and knowledge to drive impactful initiatives and strategic change within their organisations. It’s vital that women across global organisations can succeed and achieve career success, and these Role Models are essential drivers of change who are smashing barriers to progress. We could not effect change without them leading the way, and my huge thanks to each and every one of them for their much-needed work for women’s inclusion.”

To have been named among 2024 INvolve’s Heroes, alongside many inspiring people who are driving inclusivity in business, is an honour. While there is still a long way to go, each day brings more progress for women’s equality and I am committed to supporting the delivery of a more inclusive business landscape, which benefits all.
